MOWA Money ("MOWA Money", "we", "our", or "the app") is a personal finance application designed to help users organize and understand their financial transactions.

Financial SMS messages

If you choose to enable the Financial SMS feature and grant the required Android permission, MOWA Money may read relevant SMS messages from your device's SMS inbox to identify financial transactions such as bank, UPI, payment, credit, debit, refund, and similar notifications.

SMS access is optional. If you do not grant the permission, the SMS import feature will not operate.

Information entered by you

You may manually create or edit financial records, including expenses, income, transfers, lending, borrowing, gifts, reimbursements, refunds, cashback, repayments, accounts, categories, and related notes.

• Financial SMS messages are processed locally on your Android device.
• Transaction classification is performed using local, deterministic rules.
• Raw SMS content is not intentionally uploaded to a MOWA Money cloud service.
• The app does not require an online AI service to classify your financial SMS.
• Processed financial records are stored locally on the device.

5. Data sharing

MOWA Money does not sell your personal or financial information. We do not intentionally share your raw financial SMS messages with advertisers, analytics companies, data brokers, or AI providers.

The app is designed without requiring a backend account or cloud synchronization for its core financial functionality.

6. Internet and third-party services

MOWA Money's core local financial processing does not require sending your financial SMS content to an external server. If future versions introduce third-party services or online functionality that materially changes how personal information is processed, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Data retention and deletion

Financial information created or imported by MOWA Money is stored on your device. You can manage or delete information using the features provided by the app.

Uninstalling the app may remove locally stored application data according to Android's behavior and your device settings. We recommend using the app's available backup/export features if you want to retain your records.

8. Permissions

MOWA Money requests Android permissions only when a feature requires them. In particular, the Financial SMS feature requires permission to read SMS messages. You can manage application permissions through your Android device settings.

9. Children's privacy

MOWA Money is a personal finance application and is not directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an online service.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the application. Because the core financial data is stored locally, you should also protect your Android device with an appropriate screen lock and keep your device software updated.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's functionality, data practices, or applicable requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when the policy was most recently revised.
